We wish you a merry Christmas, and a blessed, happy New Year.
It has been a very busy time, but we are settling into our new home well. Its a superb location, for example with the Patriarch of Jerusalem's procession passing beneath our balcony, and this is the ancient route into Bethlehem. There is also a Christmas fayre along the street, as well as the Open Bethlehem festival in the summer. During this period many people have ventured into the courtyard and have been blown away by how tranquil it is.
Of course new opportunities bring massive responsibilities, and we are feeling the pressure a bit as we move into new times. We have two of the students being employed with a very basic wage to help run the place, especially meeting guests. Lorees will manage the paperwork of the office, while Vinny will focus on the research into the Palestinian origins of iconography and develop the shop/exhibition centre. It will be great to have such a team working together and promises real hope for the development of many aspects of our mission.
Whatever the New Year brings, we hope that you will have joy and peace in abundance, and at least be able to share in a little of ours.
